As part of my A Level Media Studies coursework I directed, filmed and edited a music video for Idles' track "I'm Scum".
The brief was to re invent a band to appeal to a 16- 24 target audience. I set out to create a music video characterised by scattergun imagery of punk rock tomfoolery and political rebellion.
My music video went on to be shortlisted for the English and Media Centre (Media Magazine) 2024 Production competition.
The competition was judged by BAFTA nominated director Alex Kayode-Kay with the task being to create a short film or music video with the very broad brief of “being seen”. The main aim for the “being seen” brief was to represent individuals, groups and issues that may otherwise go unseen in the media.
It was a brilliant experience to see my production screened at the British Film Institute in London and lovely to meet so many like minded individuals.
